Pickleball Lessons- Adult (Fall 2026) - 8:30 a.m. Beginner Class (Riverfront) Adult lessons are being offered outdoors on Saturday mornings. These classes will be held at the pickleball courts adjacent the Riverfront Community Center and Addison Park tennis courts.Lessons are for adult only ages 18 and up. There will are also classes specifically for age 60 and up.Beginner ClassesParticipants will learn how to effectively hit the ball, maintain a rally, keep score, the rules and basic game play. At the end of the session, participants will have a basic understanding of the game and be able to start playing pickle ball.Advance Beginner ClassesShould have completed the Beginner class or know how to volley, dink, serve understand the rules and court layout.Intermediate ClassesPlay to learn format where participants will be introduced to a new skill each class. Strong emphasis on “playing the kitchen line”, effective serving, non-volley transition, drop shots, etc. NOTE: All participants must provide their own pickleball paddle.

Trail Explorers(Grades K-5)Come explore the outdoors and make nature-loving friends as we hike at JB Williams, Blackledge Falls, and more! Each week we will hike at a different Glastonbury park while practicing trail navigation, searching for natural wonders and enjoying the changing seasons. Participants will receive a schedule of locations prior to the first week of the class, including suggestions for weather-appropriate clothing since this program meets rain or shine! Acting Adventures *NEW*(Grades K-2)Calling all budding actors! Join us as we discover how performers use eye contact, voice projection, body language, and facial expressions to bring characters to life. With engaging games, fun props, and familiar stories, participants will build confidence, spark their imaginations, and develop basic acting skills in a supportive environment.Acting Academy *NEW*(Grades 3-6)Unleash your inner Broadway Star and let your singing, dancing and acting skills come to life onstage! This program is a fun and immersive class that invites students of all levels to participate in interactive warm-ups, exercises and engaging games that work to help build confidence and stage presence. Previous dance/theater experience is not required but is recommended! Challenge yourself to learn and master essential performance techniques through learning dynamic routines from popular musicals which we will perform on share day! Children should wear comfortable clothing, sneakers or dance shoes, and bring a labeled water bottle.Paint Party Workshop *NEW*(Grades 3-5)Let’s paint a picture! Join us for this fun-filled five-week course where we will paint a different painting each class! Learn to blend colors, vary brush strokes, and other techniques while we create our masterpieces. Each painting will be taught step-by-step, just like a Paint Party!Myths and Legends(Grades K-5)Tell me a story! World myths and legends inspire sculptures, drawings, paintings and more. Create unforgettable art from the rich tales of Africa, India, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, China and the Americas!Crazy Chemworks(Grades K-5)In this program, children make gooey slime, experiment with different reactions and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts young scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab! At the end of every class, they take home an educational toy that extends the learning experience! Outer Space and Physics Fun(Grades 2-6)Come join an exciting world of space exploration as you build and take home your very own Orbiting Solar System Kit! You will assemble your own model, learn all about our planetary neighborhood, and watch the planets move around the sun with a wind-up motor inside. Set the planets in motion with a flick of your wrist! Take part in other exciting activities involving physics, air pressure, and density. Check out our real meteorite fragment sample! Watch a cosmic rocket shoot up fifty feet into the air! Be mesmerized as you assemble and take home your own stunt plane and learn about the four major forces of flight. You will also witness some neat demonstrations from your instructor. Watch as an egg is magically sucked into a bottle, behold a tornado being created, and much more in this fun and exciting program!
