There truly is something for EVERYONE! CLASS DESCRIPTIONSEpic Landmarks(Grades K-5)Throughout history, humans have created incredible wonders. Children will take a journey through time to discover impressive—and sometimes mysterious—landmarks, such as the Pyramids of Egypt, Easter Island, and The Great Wall of China. We will guide children to build their skills, their creativity, and their sense of wonder.Ready STEM Go(Grades K-5)In this program, students learn foundational science and discover how STEM is at work in the world around them. They will explore the animal kingdom, both on land and under the sea, make mixtures, and investigate the science of motion and energy, while also discovering the technology that powers our modern world.Chemical Creations(Grades 1-5)Come experience a hands-on world of fun as you conduct a variety of scientific experiments! You will work on and take home your very own Chemistry Lab Kit, enabling you to complete many activities!   Learn and discover many different scientific concepts in an entertaining and innovative approach.   You will be trained to work like a real scientist in the lab.   You will also make and take home some cool chemical creations!   Learn all about energy and molecules, create a crazy bouncy glob from glue, and some scary green slime!   Make your very own UV bracelet and watch it react to the sun.   You will also get to witness some amazing scientific demonstrations from your instructor.   Watch snow being created and feel how cold it is! They will explore the animal kingdom, both on land and under the sea, make mixtures, and investigate the science of motion and energy, while also discovering the technology that powers our modern world.Chemical Creations(Grades 1-5)Come experience a hands-on world of fun as you conduct a variety of scientific experiments! Pirate CruiseJoin Glastonbury Parks & Recreation and Slip-A-Way tours on the high seas (aka Connecticut River) for a Pirate Adventure. We’ll hunt for treasure and sing pirate songs on a 45 minute cruise on a 30 foot pontoon boat.  Registration includes spot for one child and one adult.  If you wish to bring a second child you may register for a maximum of one additional child.

We will guide children to build their skills, their creativity, and their sense of wonder.Ready STEM Go(Grades K-5)In this program, students learn foundational science and discover how STEM is at work in the world around them. They will explore the animal kingdom, both on land and under the sea, make mixtures, and investigate the science of motion and energy, while also discovering the technology that powers our modern world.Chemical Creations(Grades 1-5)Come experience a hands-on world of fun as you conduct a variety of scientific experiments! You will work on and take home your very own Chemistry Lab Kit, enabling you to complete many activities!   Learn and discover many different scientific concepts in an entertaining and innovative approach.   You will be trained to work like a real scientist in the lab.   You will also make and take home some cool chemical creations!   Learn all about energy and molecules, create a crazy bouncy glob from glue, and some scary green slime!   Make your very own UV bracelet and watch it react to the sun.   You will also get to witness some amazing scientific demonstrations from your instructor.   Watch snow being created and feel how cold it is!
